Occupational health and safety and emergency situations

  • identify hazards and assess risks for each component of the work system
  • develop, implement, monitor, and update the prevention and protection plan
  • draft internal instructions to supplement and/or apply occupational health and safety regulations
  • propose duties and responsibilities in the field of occupational health and safety
  • verify that all workers understand and apply the measures outlined in the prevention and protection plan, internal instructions, and their health and safety responsibilities
  • prepare the necessary technical documentation for informing and training workers in occupational health and safety
  • develop training topics for all training phases and establish in writing the frequency of appropriate training for each workplace
  • prepare the training and testing program
  • elaborate the action plan for cases of serious and imminent danger
  • keep records of areas with high and specific risk
  • identify areas requiring occupational health and safety signage
  • conduct internal inspections at workplaces
  • participate in the investigation of incidents
  • prepare reports on work-related accidents suffered by workers
  • provide specialized assistance and representation in dealings with regulatory authorities
  • deliver general introductory training for new employees
  • perform other necessary/specific activities to ensure workers’ health and safety at the workplace
Environmental protection

Environmental protection

  • identify and comply with obligations related to waste and special waste streams
  • prepare environmental reports (annual reports, etc.), including data entry in SIM (Integrated Environmental System)
  • maintain monthly records of waste management, in accordance with HG 856/2002
  • outsource the waste management specialist service
  • provide operational updates on draft legislation relevant to environmental protection or published legal documents of public interest, and find practical implementation solutions in the field of waste management
  • conduct environmental audits for compliance with environmental legislation / prepare waste audit reports
  • develop an annual waste reduction and minimization plan
  • develop an annual waste management plan
  • prepare fiscal declarations to the Environmental Fund Administration (AFM) – monthly (if applicable, e.g. for imported products)
  • report to OIREP – for packaging, electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), batteries, and accumulators
  • update the environmental management plan
  • represent the organization during external inspections by environmental authorities

During the design phase of the project

  • coordinate the application of general safety and health principles applicable to the project
  • prepare the health and safety plan
  • prepare the post-intervention file, adapted to the characteristics of the project
  • adapt the health and safety plan with every modification made to the project
  • open and maintain the coordination logbook
  • participate in meetings organized by the client and/or project manager
  • establish, in collaboration with the client and/or project manager, the general safety and health measures applicable to the site
  • align the contractors’ individual health and safety plans with the overall site health and safety plan
  • organize coordination between designers
  • analyze and resolve potential interferences between site activities

During the execution phase of the project

  • coordinate the application of general prevention and safety principles in the selection of technical and/or organizational solutions to plan the various works or phases that take place simultaneously or successively, and estimate the time needed for their execution
  • coordinate the implementation of necessary measures to ensure consistent and responsible application of general principles during execution, including enforcement of the health and safety plan by employers and, where applicable, self-employed workers
  • adapt the health and safety plan and the post-intervention file as the work progresses and according to any changes
  • organize cooperation between employers (including those working consecutively on site) and coordinate their activities related to worker protection, accident and occupational risk prevention, mutual information sharing, and informing workers and their representatives, including independent workers when applicable
  • coordinate activities to ensure correct application of work and safety instructions
  • take necessary measures to ensure only authorized persons access the construction site
  • establish, in collaboration with the project manager and contractor, the general measures applicable to the construction site
  • analyze interferences caused by activities within or near the site perimeter
  • determine, together with the contractor, obligations regarding the use of collective protection equipment, lifting installations, and site access
  • carry out joint site visits with each contractor or subcontractor before they draft their individual health and safety plans
  • approve the health and safety plans prepared by contractors and any modifications to them
